AUSTIN, TX – The Greater East Austin Youth Association (GEAYA) Little League is gearing up for its most exciting season yet, with Opening Day set for Saturday, April 5th, at Mabson Field. Families, players, and community members are invited to celebrate the start of the Spring 2025 season with a day full of baseball, fun, and community spirit.
This season marks a milestone for GEAYA, boasting six Tee Ball teams, two Coach Pitch teams, one Minor Player Pitch team, and two Majors Player Pitch teams—the league’s biggest lineup yet. With more kids stepping up to the plate, GEAYA continues to grow as a vital part of East Austin’s youth sports scene.
“We’re thrilled to see so many kids and families joining us this year,” said Coach Emaan Abdelbaki, GEAYA Coaches Coordinator. “It’s going to be an amazing season, and Opening Day is just the beginning of all the fun ahead.”
A Day of Fun and Baseball
Opening Day at Mabson Field will be more than just the first games of the season—it will be a celebration of community and youth sports. Families can enjoy a bounce house, a live DJ, and giveaways from GEAYA sponsors PPD and Big Brand Tire and Service.
Of course, no GEAYA Opening Day would be complete without a fan favorite: Coach Lee’s Dad’s Famous BBQ Pork Chop Sandwich. For just $6, it’s the best concession stand snack in town and a must-have for hungry baseball fans.
